Stephanie Crewe

Chartered Physiotherapist

Charlie is a dedicated Chartered Physiotherapist with a broad clinical background gained through rotational experience within Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. His experience encompasses community-based rehabilitation, post-operative orthopaedic care, falls prevention, neurological rehabilitation, and the management of patients with complex mobility and functional needs.

During his NHS career, Charlie has developed extensive experience supporting patients recovering from orthopaedic surgery, helping individuals regain strength, mobility, and independence following procedures such as joint replacements. His community physiotherapy experience has enabled him to deliver personalised rehabilitation within patients' homes, focusing on functional recovery, safe mobility, and restoring confidence in everyday activities.

Charlie has also worked within inpatient stroke rehabilitation, supporting individuals recovering from neurological injury. This experience has strengthened his understanding of neurological rehabilitation, balance and coordination difficulties, mobility impairments, and the importance of structured, progressive rehabilitation programmes.

His clinical experience in falls prevention and mobility rehabilitation has provided him with valuable skills in assessing balance, strength, walking ability, and functional independence. He understands the challenges faced by older adults and individuals with reduced mobility and is committed to delivering practical, evidence-based interventions that promote safety, confidence, and long-term wellbeing.

Charlie's approach is patient-centred, supportive, and outcomes-focused. He combines thorough assessment with individually tailored exercise programmes, functional rehabilitation, mobility training, and clear patient education. He places particular emphasis on helping patients achieve realistic, meaningful goals, whether that involves returning to independent walking, recovering from surgery, or improving confidence with everyday movement.

Charlie is known for his approachable, encouraging manner and his ability to establish positive relationships with patients and their families. He believes that successful physiotherapy extends beyond physical recovery, helping individuals regain independence, improve their quality of life, and return to the activities that matter most to them.

Outside of his clinical work, Charlie enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through running and yoga. He has recently joined East Grinstead Volleyball Club and also enjoys spending time with friends and family, particularly over a good board game.
