Ciara is a highly experienced Chartered Physiotherapist with a strong background in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy across primary care, private healthcare and NHS services. She currently works as a First Contact Practitioner, independently assessing, diagnosing and managing patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, often as their first point of contact within primary care.
She has extensive experience managing complex musculoskeletal and orthopaedic presentations, including patients with multiple co-morbidities and those preparing for or recovering from surgery. Throughout her senior physiotherapy roles, Ciara has been involved in developing outpatient services, establishing pre-operative assessment pathways and supporting patients undergoing joint surgery.
Ciara has worked across a number of senior musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy roles, giving her substantial experience assessing and treating pain, injuries, joint problems and movement-related conditions. She is confident managing more complex presentations, recognising when further investigation or referral is required, and creating personalised rehabilitation programmes that support people in returning to their everyday activities.
Alongside her clinical experience, Ciara has undertaken extensive postgraduate training including First Contact Practitioner qualifications, Pilates, acupuncture, hand therapy, TMJ dysfunction, tendinopathy, paediatric and adolescent musculoskeletal conditions and strength and conditioning. Her broad training allows her to draw on a range of treatment approaches depending on each person’s individual needs and goals.
Ciara brings a confident, knowledgeable and supportive approach to physiotherapy. She is passionate about helping people understand their symptoms, feel reassured about their condition and work towards meaningful improvements in pain, movement, strength and overall function.
