Jessie
Chartered Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, BSc (Hons) Exercise & Health Science, MCSP, HCPC
Jessie is an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over five years of post-graduate experience across primary care, orthopaedics, outpatient rehabilitation and community settings. She currently works as a First Contact Practitioner, independently assessing, triaging and managing a wide range of musculoskeletal presentations, including more complex conditions requiring advanced clinical reasoning and onward referral.
Jessie has particular expertise in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, including spinal, joint and soft tissue presentations. Her clinical approach combines detailed assessment, clear diagnosis and rehabilitation planning with exercise prescription, patient education and self-management strategies designed to support lasting improvements in function and confidence.
Her previous experience as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist within a specialist orthopaedic hospital saw her manage both private and public outpatient caseloads. She has extensive experience treating a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions as well as providing post-operative rehabilitation following lower-limb and spinal surgery, working closely with orthopaedic consultants and wider multidisciplinary teams where required.
Jessie’s earlier rotational experience across musculoskeletal outpatients, trauma and orthopaedics, A&E, community rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation has given her a broad clinical foundation. This is particularly valuable when treating patients at home, where mobility difficulties, medical history, confidence and the practical demands of everyday life all need to be considered as part of an effective rehabilitation programme.
Her approach is thorough, evidence-based and patient-centred. Jessie places strong emphasis on identifying the underlying factors contributing to pain or reduced function, setting realistic rehabilitation goals and giving patients the knowledge and confidence to actively participate in their recovery. She is experienced in independently managing complex presentations and recognising when further investigation or specialist referral may be required.
Alongside her BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, Jessie also holds a BSc (Hons) in Exercise and Health Science and a Postural Stability Instructor Diploma. This additional background gives her a strong understanding of exercise, physical function and balance, complementing her musculoskeletal expertise and rehabilitation approach.
With her combination of advanced musculoskeletal assessment, orthopaedic rehabilitation and community experience, Jessie is well suited to providing personalised physiotherapy within the home. Her focus is on reducing pain, restoring movement and strength, improving confidence and helping patients return safely to the activities that are important to them.
