Nicol is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with a Distinction in MSc Physiotherapy (2019–2021) and a strong academic foundation in Sport Rehabilitation (2016–2019). With over seven years of combined pre-physiotherapy and qualified clinical experience, she brings clinical depth and structured rehabilitation expertise to senior-focused care.
Prior to qualifying as a physiotherapist, Nicol developed extensive experience in sport rehabilitation, strengthening her knowledge of biomechanics, injury management, and exercise prescription. This foundation enhances her diagnostic accuracy and rehabilitation planning, particularly in complex or multi-factorial presentations.
Nicol specialises in providing physiotherapy within the home setting, supporting older adults following hospital discharge, orthopaedic surgery, and periods of functional decline. She has significant experience in both pre-operative preparation and post-operative rehabilitation, including joint replacement recovery and mobility restoration. Her approach is methodical, evidence-based, and focused on safe progression towards improved strength, balance, and independence.
She is experienced in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of musculoskeletal conditions and in delivering neurological rehabilitation for individuals recovering from stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological conditions. Nicol recognises the multifactorial nature of health and recovery in later life — including frailty, deconditioning, pain, balance impairment, and comorbidities — and develops tailored rehabilitation programmes that address the individual as a whole.
Known for her calm, compassionate manner, Nicol works collaboratively with patients and families to support confidence, dignity, and functional independence throughout the rehabilitation process.
