Tom has over 10 years of clinical experience in neuro-musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
Before starting work as a specialist MSK physiotherapist in the NHS Tom worked in a neurological rehabilitation setting working with a range of patients such as those with acquired brain injuries (Stroke and TBI’s) and Parkinsons. Currently Tom works as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in the NHS and Privately working with individuals to reach their goals. Tom has a varied caseload of patients including those with persistent back pain, osteoarthritis, ACL reconstructions and post Orthopaedic Surgery patients. Having many years of clinical experience Tom is able to assess, diagnose and treat Musculoskeletal concerns and has a wealth of knowlege in Sports Injury Rehabilitation.
Tom applies up to date clinical reasoning combined with experience to guide clients through their rehabilitiation and empowers them to continue independently when able. Explaining anatomical changes and pain theroies Tom enables clients to understand why pain occurs and ways in which we can reduce acute pain and manage long-term, persistent pain.
Tom is highly experienced and versatile using both hands on and hands off approaches. Tom enjoys sports injury rehabilitation as well as those with complex rehabilitation needs.
